"Venezuela rejects the US attack on a Chinese-made civilian unmanned aerial vehicle that encountered a technical malfunction and did not pose any military threat or danger to people on the ground," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry also stressed that the United States once again used force instead of "treating the situation with seriousness and responsibility."

In the United States, a Chinese balloon that flew across the country was considered a spy device. In Beijing, they said that the balloon is civilian and ended up over the United States by accident.
