Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said his country condemns Western double standards, including anti-Russian sanctions. He said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The diplomat noted that Europe and the United States imposed sanctions against Russia after the events in Crimea, but refrained from any action against Israel, "which has occupied the Palestinian territories over the past 55 years."

“This is really a reflection of double standards that we do not accept, and I know that Russia does not accept them either,” the Palestinian Foreign Minister said.

Earlier, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, following the EU-Ukraine summit in Kyiv, said that the European Union would continue to work on new sanctions against Russia, including the tenth package.

Following the summit, the EU and Ukraine called on all countries to join the sanctions against Russia, as well as to help fight the circumvention of the imposed restrictions.

On February 3, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, following the summit in Kyiv, said that the tenth package of anti-Russian sanctions against the Russian Federation involves restrictions of €10 billion.
