The Rada said that the military intelligence of Ukraine could be headed by the deputy head of the presidential office

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksiy Goncharenko said that Roman Mashovets, deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian president, could become the new head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel, TASS reports.

According to Goncharenko, several candidates are currently being considered for the position of head of the GUR, and the main one at the moment is Roman Mashovets.

Earlier, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, said that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, would replace Oleksiy Reznikov as the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

According to Arakhamia, Igor Klymenko, who previously held the post of head of the National Police, will now become the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine will be headed by Vasily Malyuk.

Prior to this, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to make new personnel decisions after a wave of resignations.

The Ukrainian media reported on a number of corruption scandals that were associated with the country's top officials. On January 22, Zelensky also made a video message in which he signaled that major personnel changes were coming along with this.
