Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said at a youth meeting in Aydın that his work with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to get food to countries in need "worries some people."

“Mr. Putin said: “Let’s send grain, you will turn it into flour and send it to poor African countries.” It worries some people, but we will do what we think is right,” he said.

According to the Turkish leader, he is the only one in the world who can negotiate with Putin and, on the other hand, negotiates with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the maritime humanitarian corridor, created for the export of grain from Ukrainian ports, is working without failures.

According to him, Turkey is discussing the functioning of the corridor with the Russian and Ukrainian sides. He added that in the coming days, six civilian ships that had been at sea off the coast of Ukraine since February 24 will return to Turkey.
