Erdogan accuses powers 'from Europe to America' of trying to influence Turkish elections

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that powers "from Europe to America" are trying to influence the presidential and parliamentary elections in the country, which are due on May 14. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“Global powers, from Europe to America, are actively working to influence the May 14 elections. Vile campaigns against me are carried out for this purpose,” the head of state said.

Earlier, a columnist for the Turkish edition of DikGazete, Erhan Altiparmak, expressed the opinion that the Turkish presidential elections, which will be held in May 2023, will determine the further course of events in the context of the Ukrainian conflict.

In his opinion, the Turkish presidential elections on May 14 will be "the most important in history and will change the balance of power in the world in the future."
