Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda that he did not talk about leaving his post, but as an official he was ready for any development of events.

According to the head of the ministry, there were no talks about the termination of activities in this position.

“Each official must be aware that he is not in his position for life. He must start the stage and complete it. Therefore, I am ready for any development of events, ”Reznikov said, adding that he said the same thing to other media.

According to the head of the defense department, he is “not at all ashamed” for what he has done in his post and “there will definitely be something to show what I did.”

Earlier, the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform for Life, Ilya Kiva, said, citing a source, that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov had written a letter of resignation.

Later, the deputy of the Rada of Ukraine from the party "Voice" Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced the proposed personnel changes, including the change of the head of the Ministry of Defense Alexei Reznikov.
