The UNN publication, citing law enforcement sources, claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revoked the citizenship of several top officials who worked under former President Viktor Yanukovych. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“Zelensky has revoked the citizenship of a number of officials during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. The basis for this decision was the fact that they have Russian citizenship, ”the publication says.

The publication notes that the list also includes the names of former Minister of Education and Science Dmytro Tabachnik, ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaliy Zakharchenko, former head of the presidential administration Andriy Klyuyev, ex-head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Yakymenko, ex-minister of income and fees Oleksandr Klymenko.

Earlier, Zelensky said that he had instructed the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk to consider the early termination of the powers of deputies who are members of the Opposition Platform - For Life party banned in the country.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation to protect Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
