Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that Ukraine will inevitably face retribution for any attacks on Crimea. He wrote about this on Twitter.

He stressed that Crimea is part of Russia and an attack on the peninsula would be equal to an attack on the Russian Federation and would lead to an escalation of the conflict.

“The Ukrainian gang of drug addicts must understand that retaliation with any kind of weapons is inevitable for such attacks,” the politician emphasized.

The day before, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that the new package of US military assistance to Ukraine included GLSDB missiles, which can fly about 150 km. According to him, Washington leaves to the discretion of Kyiv the possibility of using these missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The State Duma warned that American missile strikes on Crimea could end badly for the United States itself.
