The leader of the French Patriots party and former MEP Florian Filippo said that the admission of Ukraine to the European Union would only weaken Europe and only serve the interests of the United States. He wrote about this on his Twitter account.

"Ukraine's membership in the EU will serve the interests of the United States: that's why Volodymyr Zelensky and Ursula von der Leyen want it," Filippo argues.

In his opinion, the country's accession to the EU will contribute to the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and weaken the European countries.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the recent EU-Ukraine summit showed the EU's willingness to support the regime in Kyiv in order to weaken Russia and "serve the hegemonic aspirations of the US and NATO."

The topic of the summit held in Kyiv on February 3 was Ukraine's accession to the EU. According to the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the country's accession to the European Union will depend on how successful its preparation for this step will be.
