The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, published on his Telegram channel an archive video of the first president of Chechnya, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, where he promises to end the war, and wrote an appeal to him.

“As you promised, you ended this war. It was completed by you even when you voiced the truth. It was completed by you when you were the first to boldly speak out against false ideologists. And this is your great merit to the whole country, ”the politician wrote.

He stressed that Akhmat-Kadzhi Kadyrov left a great legacy that descendants must preserve and increase, and all that is required along this path is “to preserve peace, customs and culture, to be united, God-fearing, devoted.”

In June 2000, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov as head of the Chechen administration. On May 9, 2004, the politician died as a result of a terrorist attack at the Dynamo stadium in Grozny: an explosive device went off under the guest podium, where Kadyrov was during the Victory Day celebrations.

After the death of his father, Kadyrov was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic. In 2007, he became the interim president of Chechnya, and then the president.
