Tatyana Mitkova, deputy general director of the NTV channel, who ended up on Canada's sanctions list, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that in response to this, she would "work even better."

On February 3, the Canadian Foreign Office announced that Ottawa had imposed sanctions against 16 legal entities and 38 individuals. The sanctions list, in particular, included Nikolai Baskov, Mikhail Boyarsky, Oleg Gazmanov and other Russian performers.

Mitkova expressed the opinion that "something is wrong" in Canada.

“Of course, it will be reflected (imposed sanctions - approx.) - we will work even better,” Mitkova said about her attitude to restrictions.

Earlier, the CEO of the Russia Today media group, Dmitry Kiselev, said that Canada's sanctions against the media and cultural figures of the Russian Federation are a continuation of the escalation, which will not lead to anything good.
