Russia continues to work on the track of organizing trilateral talks in the Moscow-Ankara-Damascus format at the level of foreign ministers, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said, TASS reports. According to him, there are still no specific dates for such a meeting.

“We are dealing with the issue of holding a ministerial meeting, we held consultations here with the delegations of both Syria and Iran, and in contact with our Turkish partners through embassies. This work is ongoing. But there are no deadlines yet,” Bogdanov said.

As the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia pointed out, in addition to preparing trilateral talks, Moscow is also working to expand the format of the dialogue to establish interaction between Ankara and Damascus. He also stressed that it is about Iran joining the relevant negotiations.

Earlier it was reported that in February it is planned to hold expert consultations between Russia, Syria and Turkey in continuation of negotiations between the ministries of defense of the three countries.
