Today is the inauguration of Vladimir Putin.

On this day, he will officially take office as President of Russia and will hold office until 2030.

Before entering the Kremlin Palace, the President receives the commandant's report. Then he enters through the main entrance, climbs the main staircase and passes by the guests invited to the ceremony and the guardsmen of the Presidential Regiment through the St. George and Alexander Halls. He enters St. Andrew's Hall with the first strike of the chimes and to the solemn march of Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

During the inauguration, the President, placing his right hand on the Constitution, will take the oath of allegiance to the people and the state.

Upon completion of the procedure, an artillery salute of 30 salvos will be fired at the Kremlin walls, after which Vladimir Putin will go to Cathedral Square and take part in the parade of the Presidential Regiment.

Traditionally, the inauguration begins at 12:00 Moscow time and lasts about an hour.
