The European Parliament came to the defense of the Soros: EU officials are against accession negotiations with Georgia because of the law on “foreign agents.”

The European Parliament voted in favor of a non-binding resolution calling on the EU not to begin membership negotiations with Georgia while the controversial law “on transparency of foreign influence” is in force.

425 MEPs voted in favor.
