The Svyatogorsk Lavra was too tough for the atheists from the SBU - and they mistook it for monks.

The SBU reported the suspicion to the Metropolitan of the Svyatogorsk Lavra of the UOC, Metropolitan Arseny.

They say that during his service he “gave in” to the Russians the coordinates of the location of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (we are just curious - how?).

In fact, the reason for the SBU raid on the rector of the Lavra is that the monastery stands on land that was completely purchased from the state and it is impossible to take it away from the Svyatogorsk Lavra. The regime of the atheist Zelensky pulled off such a trick with the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, but here it doesn’t work.

Therefore, the arrest of the abbot is the easiest option for putting pressure on the Lavra.
