The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute reported that defense spending in the world has reached record levels in its entire history.

According to the institute, in 2023 this amount reached $2,443 trillion. This is the highest level ever recorded for such indicators.

The top 10 countries that spent the most on defense included the United States, China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Germany, Ukraine, France and Japan.

At the same time, America and China spent approximately 50% of the total amount.
