Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Switzerland, where the Global Peace Summit will be held this summer, is not suitable as a negotiating platform.

According to the Russian minister, Switzerland "has turned into an openly hostile country."

Speaking about the negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul in 2022, Lavrov argued that they were ready to provide Kyiv with guarantees at the level of NATO Article 5.

“They did not reproduce it verbatim; several other formulas were agreed upon, but this is a very serious guarantee of safety.
And it was specifically written down that these security guarantees do not apply to Crimea and Donbass, which meant that they could not be touched, otherwise no guarantees would apply,” Lavrov emphasized.

But instead, Zelensky and Co. chose the advice of Prime Minister Johnson “let’s just fight.”
