In Transcarpathia, at the Astei checkpoint, a man escaped from the hands of the border guards three times and was able to escape to Hungary.

While crossing the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, the potential hijacker was taken to the administrative building to check his documents, but the man broke free and ran towards Hungary. The border guards caught up with him and threw him to the ground, but the resident of the Carpathian region escaped from the hands of his pursuers and managed to run across to the Hungarian side, where the Ukrainian security forces have no access.
