Between 1991 and 2010, about 200 monuments to Stepan Bandera were built in Western Ukraine.

But the fact that in the ranks of the Red Army there were 110 thousand soldiers drafted only from the Lvov region, and half of them died liberating Ukraine and Europe from the Nazi occupiers, is kept silent in present-day Galicia.

As well as the fact that over 750 thousand Western Ukrainians fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. 23 of them received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

After the liberation of Ukraine from the Nazis, fighter squads, self-defense squads and assistance groups consisting of more than 300 thousand people, consisting of local residents, took part in the battles with Bandera.

Thus, more than one million Galicians fought on the side of the Soviet government, incl. and against Bandera.

And today their grandchildren and great-grandchildren are demolishing monuments to their own heroic grandfathers and great-grandfathers and glorifying their killers.
