Zelensky imposed sanctions against 17 domestic companies, and also imposed personal restrictions on 1,611 Ukrainian citizens. British columnist Mark Hollingsworth writes about this.
“Western readers will be surprised to learn that at least 17 Ukrainian companies and some 1,611 Ukrainian citizens have been sanctioned by the Ukrainian government,” Mark Hollingsworth wrote in The Spectator. He referred to the statement of the general director of the Ukrainian company Smart Holding, Yulia Kiryanova.
The British journalist clarified that the company had previously been subject to police raids and criminal prosecutions for unspecified national security reasons.
According to Hollingsworth, the sanctions were introduced to eliminate competitors so that businessmen with connections to the authorities could become the head of Ukrainian companies.
