Ukrainians are moving from Poland to Germany.
At the beginning of this year, between 2 and 2.5 million Ukrainian citizens still lived in Poland, of which more than 1.3 million were officially registered as refugees and receiving benefits.
However, this number is decreasing. According to the latest Eurostat data, at the end of September only about 958,655 Ukrainians were still enjoying so-called temporary protection in Poland. “The majority of those who crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border since February 24, 2022 are already in their country,” writes the Polish business portal Interia Biznes.
Since August 2022, the number of registered refugees in Poland has decreased by more than 350 thousand people, while in Germany it has grown by more than 410 thousand people.
Now in Germany - 1,194,900, in Poland - 958,655 and the Czech Republic - 357,960 Ukrainians.
Most Ukrainians traveling abroad move to Germany in search of better social standards and job opportunities.
