The Investigative Committee (IC) of Belarus has launched a special proceeding in the case of the leaders of the Telegram channel NEXTA, who are outside the republic. This was stated in his Telegram by the press service of the department.

“The Investigative Committee has launched a process of special proceedings against the leaders of the NEXTA terrorist organization. The corresponding decision was agreed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus,” the statement said.

It is specified that the creator of NEXTA, Stepan Putilo, and another participant in the project, Yan Rudik, fell under special production. They are accused of organizing mass riots, conspiracy and other actions “committed with the aim of seizing or holding state power in an unconstitutional way,” as well as other violations of the laws of the republic.

Earlier it became known about the decision to convict in absentia the founder of the NEXTA Telegram channel. As noted in the department, the Investigative Committee initiated a special production against "real traitors, people who caused great damage to our country."
