Pashinyan invited Putin to discuss Karabakh

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the settlement of the Karabakh issue. He stated this during the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), RIA Novosti quotes.

“The main issue in our region is the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement. Unfortunately, we also see an increase in tension in Nagorno-Karabakh in the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers,” Pashinyan said. The Prime Minister described the situation in the region as tense.

He added that he was informed about the "blocking of the Lachin corridor." According to Pashinyan, there are great concerns in Nagorno-Karabakh regarding this situation. The prime minister expressed hope that today it will be possible to discuss all issues of regional security.

Earlier, Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan spoke about one agreed point in the framework of the discussion of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan. It is specified that it was possible to agree on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the states.
