In Germany, it is necessary to check all security services after the arrests of those suspected of preparing a coup d'état in the country. This proposal was made by the head of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV, German counterintelligence) Thomas Haldenwang, reports Der Spiegel.

He noted that among the detainees were several former security officials. “There are more than isolated cases,” Haldenwang said.

The head of counterintelligence of Germany also believes that it is necessary to conduct "courses against right-wing extremism in their ranks" in the country's law enforcement agencies.

Speaking about the planned coup d'état, Haldenwang stressed that "the German security authorities in general kept the situation under control all the time."

Earlier, The New York Times found out who a certain "Prince Henry XIII" is, whom the German prosecutor's office called one of the leaders in the preparation of a coup d'état in the country. This man is a descendant of the Reuss family, who ruled a small state in East Germany until 1918.

On December 6, the German police conducted a special operation against the alleged participants in the upcoming coup d'état. German police officers detained 25 people who were either members of an unnamed right-wing terrorist organization or supported it. Searches were carried out in more than 130 homes, offices and other premises.
