Permanent Representative of Poland to the European Union Andrzej Sados said that the adoption of a new package of anti-Russian sanctions is expected on December 9. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.

“We expect the adoption of the next package of EU sanctions against Russia on Friday,” Sados said.

Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the EC proposes to add another 200 individuals and legal entities to the sanctions list, including three more Russian banks, enterprises of the military-industrial complex, members of the State Duma and the Federation Council, ministers, political parties and heads regions.

In addition to the fact that the European Commission has proposed to limit Russia's access to drones, including their supply through third countries such as Iran.

Prior to this, The Financial Times wrote that a number of EU countries, including Germany and France, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Portugal, are asking the EC to adjust sanctions to improve food exports from Russia, as current restrictions delay vital supplies to the poor countries.
