Member of the Dutch Forum for Democracy party, member of the European Parliament Marcel de Graaf said that while the EU is destroying itself because of the sanctions imposed on Russia, it can win economically, politically and militarily in Ukraine.

“EU sanctions are the suicide of the West. Russia is going to win this conflict economically, politically and also militarily,” de Graaf wrote on his Twitter account.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that sanctions on Russian gas would have disastrous consequences for the republic.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
