A conversation with big business is not yet on the schedule of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“No, there is no such meeting on the president’s schedule yet,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

According to him, representatives of the oil industry also did not request a meeting with the president.

Earlier, the G7 countries (Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the USA) and Australia agreed on the introduction of a maximum price for Russian oil delivered by sea at $60 per barrel from December 5. From that day on, the EU stopped accepting oil transported by sea from the Russian Federation, and also, together with Australia and the G7, introduced a price limit for its sea transportation at an agreed level.

The Kremlin promised to respond to this step. According to Vedomosti sources, the Russian authorities are considering three responses. The first is a complete ban on the sale of oil to countries that supported the restriction, including through intermediaries. The second is a ban on exports under contracts that include a price ceiling condition, regardless of which state imports oil. The third option is the introduction of the so-called indicative price: determining the maximum discount for Urals oil to Brent.
