A fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) suggested that critics of Russian-speaking Ukrainians “talk less”. He also stated that they would speak Ukrainian in basements if the Russian-speaking population left the republic. His words are transmitted by the Telegram channel of the Strana.ua edition.

“Irina Farion [ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada] called Russian-speaking Ukrainians animals, said that they do not deserve the right to live in Ukraine. (...) I will tell you one thing: if my Russian-speaking brothers, wolfhound fighters, volunteers, leave our Ukraine, then you will speak Ukrainian. But already quietly in the kitchen or in the cellars. (...) So, please, talk less, ”he says in a video posted online.

The publication recalled that earlier Farion criticized the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who speak Russian. A former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada said that they are fighting "for Russian Ukraine" and "the Russian world."

In October 2021, Farion also named the Russian language as the cause of death of the writer Nikolai Gogol. According to her, he "went crazy" and "turned over in his grave", as in his writings there was a contradiction between form and content. The ex-deputy noted that the writer annoys her “at the gene level”, because she never understood why “the Ukrainian writes in Russian”.
