Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of the head of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky that the conflict in his country could end next year.

“In this case, you can argue until you are blue in the face. Zelensky knows that if he wants, this can all end tomorrow,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a video message for the Politico newspaper, in which he stated that the conflict in the country would end next year.

“I believe that the Ukrainians will be the most influential next year, but already in peacetime,” the Ukrainian leader said.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
