The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, accused the United States of plans to "heat up" the conflict in Ukraine at least until the end of 2025. He said this during a briefing on December 8.

According to the diplomat, this can be confidently stated based on the documents of Washington itself, "which are not hidden from anyone."

She noted that this can mark the desire of the administration of US President Joe Biden to get Congress to include additional assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $37 billion in the 2023 budget.

A huge part of these funds, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry drew attention, will go to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The rest of the amount should "settle" in European, world banks and private funds, Zakharova expressed her opinion.

Earlier it became known that the defense budget for fiscal year 2023 agreed by both houses of the US Congress includes the allocation of an additional $800 million in aid to Ukraine.
