Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can help resolve the Ukrainian conflict. He said this in an interview with the Indian television channel NDTV.

“India is a very important player on the global stage and the Prime Minister of India can make a difference with his voice,” Kuleba said.

The minister noted that "there were some encouraging statements" when Modi said that "now is not the time for war."

The day before, Kuleba reproached India for a significant increase in the purchase of Russian oil. He emphasized that India is buying Russian oil because Russia has offered "very attractive terms, cheap prices, good contracts", but this is due to the Ukrainian crisis, because the decision of the Indian authorities is "inappropriate from a moral point of view."

Earlier, Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar said that India does not intend to determine the conditions for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on the settlement of the conflict.
