Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that in the event of serious proposals to stop the conflict in Ukraine, Russia is ready to discuss it, but on the condition that it should take into account Russian interests. He announced this during his speech at the international forum "Primakov Readings", RIA Novosti reports.

“If now there is a serious proposal on how to stop this conflict while fulfilling our absolutely legal requirements, of course, we will be ready to talk,” he said.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believed that the conditions for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine "have not yet been created."

Prior to this, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow does not see the prospects for negotiations with Kyiv.

United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, on the contrary, believed that Moscow was not in the mood for diplomatic cooperation on Ukraine.
