New transformers to replace those destroyed during the shelling will not be delivered to Ukraine until spring. The first ones may come in March-April, Alexander Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, believes. He named such terms in an interview with the Ukrainian edition of Obozrevatel.

According to an energy specialist, it's not just about finding the necessary equipment, but also about logistics.

“The transformer is a 250-ton unit, the size of 1.5 railway cars. It is extremely high-tech When it is produced, an aircraft that could carry 250 tons does not exist anymore in the world. Therefore, they will have to be transported by ships. And this is another 5-6 weeks on the road, ”said Kharchenko.

At the same time, he noted that Ukraine has its own production - at Zaporizhtransformator. Kharchenko stressed that the country currently needs dozens of units.

On December 3, it became known that the allied forces attacked the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at the Zaporizhtransformator plant. According to the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov, the hit on the enterprise was accurate.
