Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, commented at a briefing on a possible decision by Western countries on new arms supplies to Ukraine.

When asked by a journalist about what Moscow expects from the discussion at the UN level of Western arms supplies to Ukraine, taking into account the draft US defense budget for 2023, Peskov advised to wait for the event.

According to Peskov, while the Kremlin has nothing to announce, it should wait for the meeting of the UN Security Council, which Moscow requested for December 9. The official representative of the Kremlin also did not answer how new deliveries of weapons to Ukraine could affect the course of the special military operation.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance is considering the possibility of supplying new weapons to Kyiv. The Secretary General did not disclose the specific types of weapons that are being considered for delivery, but stressed that NATO is constantly considering adding new weapons systems.
