Peskov: Putin does not plan to meet with Constitutional Court judges this year

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Dmitry Peskov does not plan to hold a meeting with judges of the Constitutional Court this year.

At the same time, Peskov noted that the head of state could meet with Chairman of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin.

In the period from November 29 to December 1, 2022, the Xth Anniversary All-Russian Congress of Judges was held in Moscow. Delegates representing their regions came to the forum with proposals for changing the current legislation, improving the activities of the judicial system.

President Putin during the event stated that the modernization of legislation on the status and organizational support for the work of justices of the peace was an important step in the development of the judicial system in the Russian Federation. According to the head of state, the creation of new instances has shown itself positively in terms of increasing the guarantees of civil rights in the judicial process, as well as in the framework of more scrupulous fixing and prompt elimination of judicial errors.
