Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on reports of an attempted coup in Germany.

“These are rather internal problems of the FRG, and they themselves state that there can be no talk of any Russian intervention. We learned about it from media reports. We have nothing to say about this,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Earlier it became known that the German police are conducting a special operation against alleged right-wing extremists. German police officers detained 25 people who were either members of an unnamed right-wing terrorist organization or supported it. It was reported that German special forces operated simultaneously in 11 states of Germany. Searches were carried out in more than 130 homes, offices and other premises.

Later, the German Prosecutor General's Office stated that the conspirators detained in the country are suspected of participating in or supporting a terrorist group.
