Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with UAE President Mohammed Al Nahyan the situation related to the attempts of the West to impose a price ceiling on oil from Russia. This is stated on the Kremlin website.

“In this context, the situation was touched upon in connection with the attempts of a number of Western countries, contrary to the principles of world trade, to introduce anti-market restrictions on the cost of Russian oil raw materials,” the statement said.

Earlier, Vedomosti, citing sources, reported that the Kremlin was considering three possible responses from Russia to the price ceiling for Russian oil set by Western countries.
