The sapper unit of the police of the unrecognized Kosovo neutralized a grenade in the premises of the electoral committee of Kosovsk-Mitrovica, Tanjug reported.

According to him, the grenade was destroyed on the spot by detonation. Members of the European Union Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), NATO forces in Kosovo and representatives of the Kosovo Police Special Forces (ROSU) are currently leaving the scene.

On the night of December 7, ROSU representatives, together with an EULEX patrol, entered the building of the municipal electoral commission in the north of the city and searched there for an explosive device that had not exploded during the morning ROSU invasion.

When examining the building inside the premises, one unexploded grenade was found. Another was found near the building. After that, the sappers were called.

Earlier, ROSU employees, accompanied by members of the municipal electoral commission, broke into the premises in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, which were used by the commission during the last elections. The media claim that explosions were heard, some areas of the city were filled with smoke, sirens were heard.
