Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko: attempts to exclude Russia from the G20 are doomed to failure

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko called the attempts to exclude the Russian Federation from the G20 a failure. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, this is how the diplomat commented on the draft US defense budget for 2023.

According to Grushko, Washington will seek Moscow's exclusion from international organizations, including the G20.

“The line of the West is now aimed at isolating Russia, which has already failed, just as the attempts to exclude Russia from various multilateral formats have failed,” said the Deputy Foreign Minister.

As an example, he cited attempts to isolate Russia ahead of the G20 meeting in Bali.

Earlier, Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev called one of the points of the Pentagon's draft budget unrealizable. He stressed that to achieve the exclusion of Russia from the G20. The US defense budget in 2023 could reach a record $858 billion.
