The Iranian government does not exclude the start of blocking the bank accounts of Iranian women who do not wear the hijab. It is reported by Donya-e-Eqtesad with reference to Hossein Jalali, member of the Cultural Committee of the Iranian Parliament.

“Changing the approach to the invitation to observe the wearing of the hijab means the possibility of notifying non-wearers in the form of a remark sent by SMS that “you did not observe the wearing of the hijab, try to respect the law,” Jalali’s comment follows.

Then, according to the parliamentarian, a warning will follow and at the final, third stage, the bank account may be blocked.

Jalali attributed the increase in unrest in the country to an increase in the number of hooligans and women refusing to continue wearing the hijab. The final decision has not yet been made.

Earlier it was claimed that the Iranian authorities will consider the issue of mandatory wearing of the hijab.

Mass protests in Iran began in September after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. A woman was detained in Tehran by the morality police for wearing the hijab incorrectly.
