Kuleba: it is easier for some allies to supply Ukraine with weapons than to support it in NATO

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, said that a number of Kyiv's allies are more ready to supply weapons than to support the country's desire to become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance. Politico reports.

"Some very good friends of Ukraine are more afraid to respond positively to Ukraine's application for NATO membership than to provide Ukraine with the most modern weapons," the Ukrainian minister stressed.

Kuleba also added that there are still "psychological barriers that Kyiv needs to overcome." Among them is the idea of Ukraine's membership in NATO.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
