In the regions of Uzbekistan, there are planned power outages due to increased use of gas. This was acknowledged by the Minister of Energy of the country Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov, TASS reports.

Yes, there are objections. Not everyone gets electricity and gas, there are a lot of outages. We recognize this, no one denies it,” he said. The politician noted that weather conditions require the introduction of planned power outages in order to avoid more serious consequences. According to him, the task of the Ministry of Energy is to provide houses with gas, as well as its supply to thermal power plants for the production of electricity.

According to the Uzbek Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, gas pressure in a number of boiler houses in the Tashkent, Khorezm and Fergana regions of the country is significantly below the norm. As a result, hot water and electricity are supplied to apartment buildings below the established parameters, the ministry added.

In January, the Uzbek authorities decided to completely stop the export of natural gas to cover the seasonal peak of consumption within the republic. As noted in the Ministry of Energy, the Uzbek side did not plan to supply fuel to Russia in 2022.
