US Defense Budget Sets Permanent Ban on Sharing Missile Defense Data with Russia

The US defense budget for fiscal year 2023, agreed by the relevant committees of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, provides for a permanent ban on the exchange of information on missile defense systems with the Russian Federation. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The text of the document notes that a permanent ban is established on the exchange of information related to anti-missile defense systems with the Russian Federation.

Earlier, it became known that the draft US defense budget agreed upon by the relevant committees of both houses of Congress contains the thesis that Washington will seek the exclusion of the Russian Federation from a number of international organizations, including the G20.

Before that, it became known that the defense budget for fiscal year 2023 agreed by both houses of the US Congress includes the allocation of an additional $800 million in aid to Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation to protect the Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
