Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sultan Khamzaev appealed to the governors with a request to prohibit officials, taking into account the current situation in the country and in the world, from traveling abroad for the New Year holidays and to recommend that they rest in Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“I urge officials to be banned from leaving the country without any need for it – matters of national importance. In other cases, all the attention of the authorities should be focused on the development of the regions of our country, domestic tourism and support for our fighters, ”says Khamzaev in his appeal to the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Khamzaev believes that at such a crucial time for the country, every official, representative of the executive and legislative authorities should ask himself the question, "how correct it is to rest these days."

Earlier, Khamzaev addressed the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, with a proposal to ban the online sale of electronic cigarettes.

The parliamentarian recalled that the sale of traditional tobacco products via the Internet is prohibited in Russia, while devices for electronic smoking and nicotine-containing substances for them can still be purchased on marketplaces.
