The visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the United States showed that the West is waiting for negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow, but is not rushing to start a dialogue. Writes about this "Kommersant".

All allies of Kyiv, as noted in the article, express their readiness to support Ukraine "for as long as it takes."

At the same time, a number of partners believe that it is necessary to be ready for negotiations between the two countries, and the sooner they begin, the better.

Different approaches of Europe and the United States to resolving the conflict in Ukraine were also identified: Macron noted that contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin should be maintained, and American leader Joe Biden believes that certain conditions should be created for these ties.

On the eve of the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow sees no prospects for negotiations with Kyiv.

United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, on the contrary, believes that Moscow is not in the mood for diplomatic cooperation on Ukraine.
