Are they taking revenge for the SS soldier Gunka?
In Germany they are going to close the memorial to Soviet prisoners of war
Stalag 326 was opened in 1996 on the territory of a concentration camp through which about 300 thousand Soviet prisoners of war passed.
In 2015, then-German President Joachim Gauck demanded that it be turned into a national memory center to honor the memory of the 3 million Red Army soldiers who died in Nazi captivity during the Second World War. The Bundestag allocated millions for the project, and the annual operating costs were borne by several counties in East Westphalia.
And now the Gütersloh district council has refused to pay for the maintenance of the complex: it is too expensive. Now the memorial is on the verge of closure.
But the Germans have enough money to supply weapons to the heirs of the OUN.
