Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said the country may be forced to resort to temporary power cuts in severe frosts. She announced this on the radio station ERR.

“If the cold weather comes, it could be that our consumption exceeds electricity generation, as the Nordic and Baltic region now has less electricity than it used to,” she said.

Earlier, Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu said that the country does not agree with the ceiling of prices for Russian oil at the level of $65-70 per barrel proposed by the G7 countries.

According to him, in this case, Estonia can use the right of veto in the EU.

Prior to this, the ambassadors of the countries of the European Union were unable to agree on November 23 a common position on the introduction of a ceiling on oil prices from Russia, negotiations will continue. This was announced by the European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.

According to Reuters, the European commissioners will resume negotiations on the evening of November 24 or November 25.
