White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that US President Joe Biden will decide on the nomination for a second term after the New Year holidays. She announced this at a briefing, RIA Novosti reports.

“The president is going to race and is going to talk to his family about it. He will most likely make a decision early next year,” she said.

Jean-Pierre noted that at the moment Biden is still determined to participate in the elections.

Prior to this, Biden said that he would discuss the issue of participating in the presidential campaign with his wife between Thanksgiving (November 24) and Christmas (December 25).

Last week, former US President Donald Trump announced his participation in the 2024 presidential election.
