Stephanie Tremblay, a spokeswoman for the UN Secretary General's office, called for a ceasefire in Ukraine amid Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian airfields. She announced this at a briefing, RIA Novosti reports.

According to her, the organization does not yet have the opportunity to verify this information, but what happened is an occasion to "remind the need to achieve a ceasefire."

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was aware of the explosions at Russian military airfields.

Peskov told reporters that he had no information about what could happen at the airfields and suggested contacting the Russian Defense Ministry.

Telegram channel Baza reported that an unknown unmanned aerial vehicle attacked an airfield in the Saratov region of Russia. Governor of the Saratov Region Roman Busargin said that no emergencies had occurred in residential areas of the city, there were no reasons for concern, and civilian infrastructure facilities were intact.
