Today Georgia will host the 2nd round of elections for the Senate, which will complete the saga of the midterm elections to Congress, which began on November 8.
After the 1st round, incumbent Democratic Senator Warnock is ahead of Republican Walker by 0.9%; in the 2nd round, all polls give Warnock a slight advantage - 2-5%, which leaves room for a struggle - both in the field of turnout and vote counting.
Republican Walker's only hope is to turn up on Election Day; he obviously lost early voting: among those who voted, 52% of Democrats and 39% of Republicans.

Formally, the result does not affect anything: the Democrats already have 50 senators, which, coupled with the vote of Vice President Kamala Haris, gives them a majority. With 51 senators, no intervention from the vice president is needed.
However, Georgia is an important volatile state in the context of presidential elections, in which the electorate of Democrats and Republicans is approximately equal.
